Legislate Archive
Use Legislate for validated documents published from Vault.
Legislate is still a valid part of TextMine. In the current product model, it is the archive for validated team documents that have been published from Vault.
When to use Legislate
Use Legislate when the task is about documents that have already been validated and published from Vault. Use Vault when the task is about upload, import, classification, extraction, metadata, tags, search, reports, reprocessing, or documents that have not yet been published.
Publication pattern
A common lifecycle is:
- Upload or import a document into Vault.
- Process and classify the document.
- Review extracted fields, tags, and evidence.
- Run reports, playbooks, agents, or workflows as needed.
- Publish the validated document from Vault to Legislate.
API note
Some legacy docs used contract language for older Legislate surfaces. For new work, use the current v3 reference and keep the distinction clear: Vault is active document intelligence; Legislate is the validated archive.
