Documents and Validated Data
How TextMine treats documents, metadata, tags, reports, records, and validated archive data.
Documents are the starting point for most TextMine work, but the goal is usually validated data that can be reused.
Document data
Documents can carry document types, extracted fields, custom metadata, tags, assignees, processing state, report results, playbook output, workflow runs, alerts, exports, and evidence.
Use the API reference to inspect the exact schemas for each endpoint. For agent clients, operation IDs are more reliable than guessing URLs.
Validated data
Validated data is document-derived information that has been reviewed enough to support a business process. That might mean an approved clause, a contract renewal date, a policy obligation, a supplier record, a reporting metric, or a generated document field.
Vault and Legislate
Vault is where document data is created and refined. Legislate is where validated team documents are published when they should become part of the archive. Keep the distinction clear in integrations and agent prompts so the system searches the right surface.
